Google Drive is a file storage service launched by Google in 2012. Google Drive lets users store and synchronize their phone, tablet, and computer files on Google’s servers. In addition to the web version, this product is also available in several other versions for Android, iOS, Mac and Windows platforms. Google Drive is integrated with other Google products, such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides, and team members can work together on files. When a member of the Sandy team publishes on Google Docs, the file is automatically created on Google Drive, and other members of the team can view it and edit it.
Google Drive offers 15 GB of free space and 100 GB, 1, 2, 10, 20, and 30 terabytes of paid money through its users. Uploaded files can be up to 5 terabytes in size. Users can define permissions on files, and specify the type of subscription with other people. In the web version, users are able to search by description of images or in natural language among the desired files. The Android website and application are intended to provide backup and storage on a computer. The number of active users of this service reached 800 million in March 2017 and, based on 2015 data, more than 1 million users have used the money plans of this product. In May 2017, more than 2 trillion files were uploaded to Google Drive.
